Knights of the Old Republic was followed up by a sequel, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords, which was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and launched for the Xbox in North America on Dec. 6, 2004. Set nearly 4,000 years before the formation of the Galactic Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts, originally releasing for the Xbox in North America on July 15, 2003, with a Windows version releasing in North America on Nov. 19, 2003. Aspyr has already ported a number of classic Star Wars games to Nintendo's hybrid console, including Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Episode I - Racer and Star Wars: Republic Commando.
